What I've been up to

It's been a little crazy lately. I have been creating, but a lot is in prep for the coming event at Camp Lejeune! I've been awfully scattered, but when I was sorting and packing up a box to send on ahead before I fly out in just over a week, I realise I did a lot more than I thought!

First are some sample cuttlebugged cards. We're having a table for adults to make CFH cards, and figured teaching people how to work a CB would be fun for them and not messy----like stamping would be! A dear friend cut up a TON of paper for me, a lot of plain bright colored textweight papers. And I've made up some sample cards to give people ideas what to do. Some are simpler, some a little more complex, so they can choose how involved they want to get!
And then are the things for them to put ON the cards. Initially I was going for some simple stamped sentiments. And you know me, I don't do "simple" very well! I took an idea from a challenge for the upcoming Worldwide Stamping Weekend to make our own stamped embellishments, and started having fun! Lots of these are simply matted colored images, but if you click on the image you'll get a bigger view and can see more details. And of course once I finished shooting the above photo, I realised I left some stray embellies aside that didn't make it in the big pile, so here they are. I've been just drooling over some of the multi-layered popdotted paper embellies in the stores, and it's been fun making my own versions of them‚ and cheaper too!
So the first box is packed and ready to mail out; in addition to all these goodies, it's got 250 OQC cards for the cardsigning! And a few more items, too, of course....it's packed to the gills!

OK.. I'll try to comment again!
(my last one went into blogland)...

I love the embellies! They are so darn wonderful! I also have a bad habit of purchasing the pop-dotted embellies...

LOVE this idea!

Sandy, why would you ever buy an embellishment when you make ones like these are. They are simply fabulous. Great job. Glinda
